BriefMD (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a free medical
research newsletter that delivers daily AI-summarized PubMed research to clinicians and
researchers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Email address — required to deliver your digest and manage your account.
- Topic and specialty preferences — used solely to personalize your daily digest.
- Google account info — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google. We do not receive your password.
- Saved papers — papers you choose to bookmark are stored in your library.
How we use your information
- To send your daily BriefMD research digest.
- To personalize digest content to your selected topics and specialty.
- To maintain your account and saved papers library.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
Third-party services
- Resend — our email delivery provider. Your email address is shared with Resend solely to deliver your digest.
- Google OAuth — optional sign-in method. Governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
- PubMed / NCBI — we query PubMed’s public API to retrieve research articles. No personal data is sent to PubMed.
Data retention
We retain your email and preferences for as long as you are subscribed. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings page, which permanently removes all your data.
Your rights
You may unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in any digest email, or from your account settings. You may also email us to request deletion of your data.
Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and CSRF protection. We do not store payment information.
